PORTFOLIO
The collection, coding, design, and representation of dialogue provides an opportunity to communicate the intangible and often ephemeral outcomes of development and conservation initiatives—like capacity building and empowerment—which are elicited by qualitative, participatory tools and preserved by video, audio, photography, and other forms of media that are easily shared throughout organizational structures internally, and externally to secondary stakeholder networks over various media channels—thus increasing the public footprint of sustainable development and conservation initiatives, amplifying stories of impact beyond the numbers, and advancing the field of interdisciplinary, participatory, development and conservation through dedicated thought-leadership and innovative practice.
PHOTOGRAPHY
I use photography to document the people with whom and the places where I work. I also use it as a reflexive tool to document participatory communication processes. Photography is also used on a local, programmatic level for monitoring & evaluation as well as documenting outcomes of development and conservation initiatives—like capacity building and empowerment.
VIDEO
Here you'll find community-produced videos featuring field technicians and other local partners that have been used as valuable media assets for communications teams. They were collected using participatory methods such as Most Significant Change, Photovoice, and Participatory Video.
PUBLICATIONS
